Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you and JobScoutify ("JobScoutify," "we," "us," or "our") governing access to and use of our website, applications, APIs, and related offerings (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (and not younger than sixteen where our Services are unavailable to minors) and capable of forming a legally binding contract. If you do not meet these requirements, do not use the Services.
2. The Services
JobScoutify provides tools to discover job postings, parse résumé content, generate résumé or CV drafts, generate cover letter drafts, and related AI-assisted workflows. The Services rely on third-party employment data sources and artificial intelligence models. Features may change, be suspended, or discontinued without notice where reasonably necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons.
3. Accounts and access
Certain features may be offered without registration. Where accounts exist, you must provide accurate information and safeguard credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use.
4. User content and license
You retain ownership of content you submit ("User Content"). To operate the Services, you grant JobScoutify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, perform, and create derivative works (such as parsed fields or AI outputs) solely to provide, secure, and improve the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate law or third-party rights;
- Upload malware, scrape the Services in violation of robots.txt or technical barriers, or probe vulnerabilities;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent usage limits except where statutory rights apply;
- Use outputs to misrepresent qualifications or impersonate others;
- Submit unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content;
- Use the Services to build a competing product mirroring our core offering using bulk automated extraction; or
- Circumvent geographic, rate, or access restrictions we impose in good faith.
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that threatens users, employers, or infrastructure.
6. AI-generated materials
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular employer or ATS. You must review, fact-check, and edit all materials before submission. JobScoutify makes no representation that AI-generated documents comply with any employer rule, regulation, or professional standard. You assume all risk arising from reliance on generated content.
7. Job listings and third parties
Listings are supplied by independent data providers and employers. We do not endorse employers, guarantee continued availability of postings, or warrant accuracy of descriptions, compensation, or application URLs. Your application relationship is solely with the employer or platform to which you apply. Claims arising from hiring decisions must be directed to the relevant third party except where law prohibits exclusion.
8. Intellectual property
The Services, including software, branding, layouts, and aggregated databases (excluding your User Content), are owned by JobScoutify or licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted, no rights are transferred to you.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR THAT RESULTS WILL LEAD TO EMPLOYMENT, INTERVIEWS, OR SPECIFIC COMPENSATION.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBSCOUTIFY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR REPUTATION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JobScoutify and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.
12. Dispute resolution; governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction, exclusive venue for disputes will be the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may benefit from mandatory local rights and venues that cannot be waived; nothing here limits those protections.
For users not covered by the preceding sentence and where permitted, you agree that disputes will be resolved in individual capacity only—not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.
13. Modification
We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance unless law requires additional consent. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, legal process, or discontinuance of the Services. Provisions intended to survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) survive termination.
15. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the subject matter and supersede prior understandings. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
